Halloween Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Our Chocolate Covered Pretzels are a marriage made in heaven with sweet Belgium chocolate melts, salty pretzels and candy sprinkles giving they a very addictive appeal. At our house I can’t make them fast enough! My oldest son will literally stand there and eat them as I am laying them out on the cooling rack to dry! Heck, he’ll tear into the bag of pretzel and dip them into the chocolate as we go, needless to say a friendly argument almost always takes place when he’s home. I can’t win…. Either I run out of chocolate or pretzels or both or find myself driving to the grocery story more times than not to buy more ingredients.

They’re a perfect treat when the trick or treaters come home with the huge haul; you know they’re just dying to break into their loot but like any responsible parent we examine their loot before letting them at it!

INGREDIENTS

1 pound of premium Belgium chocolate melts

1 bag of Pretzels

½ cup of Skor candy pieces

Halloween Candy Sprinkles

Parchment Paper

Cooling Rack

DIRECTIONS

Cut a sheet of parchment paper and top with cooling rack.

Melt chocolate over a double boiler until smooth and of a pourable consistence.

Dip pretzel in chocolate insure it is coated well on both sides; hold over bowl of chocolate with dipping tool or wooden BBQ skewer and place on cooling rack to dry.

Wait a couple of minutes prior to adding toppings as they may slide off the pretzel if added too soon.

ENJOY!
