Homemade Hamburgers

Nothing beats the taste of fresh homemade hamburgers straight off the grill. Our recipe is quick and easy and in minutes with fresh ingredients and in no time you’ll be savouring mouth-watering juicy burgers. This recipe can be altered to make your very own unique burgers by simply adding some shredded cheddar, mozzarella or Swiss cheese (approximately 1 cup) to the hamburger mixture you’ll create a taste all your own.  If you’re game and like your burger spicy chop up some jalapeno peppers to kick it up a notch and give your mouth a great flavour sensation.

INGREDIENTS

3 lbs ground beef (chuck)

1 large finely diced onion

½ cup bread crumbs

1 egg

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 cloves minced garlic

1 tbsp salt

1 ½ tsp black pepper

DIRECTIONS

Combine all ingredients into a large bowl and mix or knead together until all the ingredients are well incorporated together.

We use a kitchen scale to weigh out 6 ounces of hamburger mixture.

Roll the hamburger mixture into a perfect ball and then flatten to make the perfect patty.

This recipe will make approximately 8 to 10 ~ 6 ounces burgers or approximately 12 to 4 ~ 4 ounce burgers.

Once they’re shaped into the perfect patty they are ready to be grilled to perfection.

If you’ll be saving them to cook at a later date than stack them on top of each other and place a sheet of parchment paper between the patties so they can be easily separated when frozen.

Serve on your favourite type of bun with a great selection of toppings such as cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, condiments or whatever your heart desires.
